The industry runs on software that stopped moving.

Most pilotage authorities still run desktop systems designed in the 2000s. Every change is a feature request, an invoice, and a six-month wait. Dispatchers re-key the same order three times at 2 a.m. Pilots call the office to see their own schedule.

None of that is anyone’s fault — it is what enterprise software cost to build back then. But contracts still run $50K–200K a year, implementations still take months, and an upgrade is still a project of its own.

Roughly 700 pilotage authorities worldwide. Most deserve better tools. We’re building them.

PILOMIRA — AI DISPATCH ASSISTANT

0214·the call

Meet Mira. The 2 a.m. order files itself.

Everyone in maritime says “AI” and means a rules engine. Mira is the real thing: she reads the order the moment it arrives, matches the vessel, checks it against live AIS and your own limits, catches the wrong draft and the impossible ETA, creates it, and confirms with everyone — so nobody re-keys an order at two in the morning.

Watch one order, start to finish.

Email and spoken orders are live today. Telephone intake — Mira answering the line herself — is in development.

For dispatchers

Mira reads the order the moment it lands — email or spoken — checks every claim against AIS and your own vessel limits, and creates it, flagging anything that smells wrong.

“Mira, what came in overnight?”

For pilots

Schedule, vessel details, and availability — by text or voice, from anywhere. No more calling the office to ask about your own jobs.

“Mira, what’s the draft on the Coral Sentinel?”

For management

Reports and KPIs on demand, in plain language. Ask a question, get an answer from your live data.

“Mira, show me last month’s billing summary.”

Mira handles the routine so your people can do the work that takes judgment.

BILLING · INVOICING · A/R

0505·the invoice

The pilot presses Done. The invoice is already there.

A job closes the moment the pilot reports his last time. PilotLink calculates the invoice on that press: the tariff, the surcharges, the waiting time, the currency, whatever your rules say. Multi-tariff, multi-currency, and every line item traceable to the rule that produced it.

From there it goes wherever your organisation decides. Same engine, different rule. That is configuration, not a feature request.

01

A billing desk approves.

The invoice is calculated the moment the job closes and lands with your billing people for review. They approve, commit, and it goes to the agency. Nothing is re-keyed, because nothing was keyed.

02

The pilot’s sign-off is the approval.

Where the pilot approving his own times is the sign-off, the invoice goes straight to the shipping agency with nobody in between. Some operations run exactly this way. No billing department at all.

03

Receivables follow, live.

What was sent, what was paid, what is overdue, per agency, with the payment matched to the invoice. Statements and reminders on your schedule, not on somebody’s memory.

WHO BUILDS IT

Twenty years building these systems. Thirty of them, for operations like yours.

30+

SYSTEMS DELIVERED

20

YEARS IN PILOTAGE

I’m Alex G. For twenty years I built pilotage software — more than thirty systems for authorities around the world, through Klein Systems, HITT and Saab. Dispatch boards, billing engines, rotation schedulers. I sat with dispatchers through night shifts and learned the edge cases the hard way.

Those systems did their job, and the people who build them are good at it. What changed is what’s possible. A modern stack and an assistant that can actually read an order put things within reach that simply weren’t there when I wrote the first one.

The people who keep ships safe deserve tools built with the same seriousness they bring to the job. PilotLink is everything those twenty years taught me, rebuilt from scratch — with the assistant I always wanted to hand a dispatcher and never could.

You get your own instance, your own data, and an export of all of it whenever you ask. Nothing is held hostage, and nothing about leaving is difficult — which is the only honest way to ask an operation like yours to trust something new.

No sales team. No lock-in. If you call, we answer.

HOW WE WORK

01

Try it first.

Ask for an evaluation instance and we set one up on your own operation's terms — every feature open, sample data loaded, no credit card. Take as long as you need with it. AI features run on your own API key: we don't resell tokens.

02

Priced for reality.

A fraction of legacy enterprise contracts. Month to month. Cancel anytime. You stay because it works, not because you signed.

03

Days, not months.

Onboarding measured in days. Your own isolated instance. Your data stays yours.
